Swimmers warm up for finals

first_imgAll eyes will be on Golden Fish Ryan Pini as he takes on lane four in the 50m backstroke. Pini will be competing against second fastest Teiki Dupont of Tahiti who clocked in a time of 26:81 sec in the heats behind Pini’s 26:22 sec.New Caledonia pair Kevin Calmettes and Julien Goyetche will also be competing with Pini. Fiji duo William Clark and Gordon Thompson are also swimmers to watch out for. In the women 100m freestyle, Savannah Tkatchenko and Anna-Liza Mopio-Jane will be competing in the finals. PNG will also be hoping for gold from Sam Seghers who finished first in his heat in the men 200m freestyle. Britney Murray will be competing in the women 400m medley finals while Ashley Seeto and Ryan Maskelyne will be competing for a medal in the men 100m breaststroke.
