The senior from Canada, traversed the 3.1 miles in 19:05, good enough for the runner-up spot on the podium. UCA’s team win came over 10 other schools. The Bears are idle this weekend before traveling to Fayetteville for the University of Arkansas’ Chile Pepper Festival race on Sat, Sept. 22. Men’s Athlete of the Week: Oscar Leyva, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi – Jr. – Sherman, Texas Leyva started his career at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in impressive fashion with a victory at the Rice Invitational, leading the Islanders to a third-place team finish.
